About KSMO

What is the Korean Society of Medical Oncology (KSMO)?

The Korean Society of Medical Oncology (KSMO) was founded in November 2005 with the purpose of enhancing the quality of cancer patient care by promoting knowledge in clinical oncology and supporting collaboration and communication among clinical oncologists. As a representative body in the field of clinical oncology in Korea, KSMO has been consistently active in the academic sphere both domestically and internationally. Through the dedicated efforts of all our members and past executive committees, we have quickly grown to become the most trusted professional society for cancer diseases in the country. In 2018, we became a full member of the Korean Medical Association, serving a pivotal role in the field of internal medicine specializing in oncology.
